Questions

Frequently asked

Where are your offices?

Moody & O’Neal CPAs has two offices: 654 Coleman Blvd., Ste. 200, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464, and 119 W Luke Ave., Summerville, SC 29483. Both use one phone number, (843) 849-3000.

What tax services do you offer?

Tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, gift taxes and personal property; proactive tax planning; IRS audit and notice resolution; cost segregation studies; R&D credits and incentives; and multi-state and flow-through taxation.

Do you work with individuals as well as businesses?

Yes. The firm helps business owners, executives, and families make confident financial decisions, and prepares individual returns as well as business, estate and trust returns.

Can you help if I’ve received an IRS notice or haven’t filed for a few years?

Yes. We assist clients with IRS audit and notice resolution in addition to bringing taxpayers into compliance with non-filed prior year returns.

What is the difference between a compilation and a preparation?

In a compilation we present information that is the “representation of management” and express no opinion or assurance on the statements. A preparation engagement is for internal use only, provides no assurance, and is not for third-party use.

Can you keep our books remotely?

Yes. We can perform bookkeeping services at our location or yours or by logging in to your computer remotely, whether you run Windows or Mac OS, QuickBooks, or another financial software package.

How do I become a client?

Call (843) 849-3000 to talk through what you need. The firm reviews each new client relationship to make sure it’s a good fit for both the firm and the client.
